Around the World in 60 Rums – Barbados

Each month we’ll explore a different rum producing country, sampling five rums from as many distilleries and/or indie bottlers as we can to get as broad a representation from each country as possible. We’ll include as many different styles as possible to highlight different production methods, age statements, cask types, price points, and (dare we say it) terriors to really get a feel for each national style.

This month we’ll feature Barbados! Home to four distilleries, including Mount Gay, the oldest rum distillery in the world. Barbados rum is known for their approachable, well balanced rums, and (for the most part) no added sugar or additives. Keep an eye on our Instagram for updates on what bottles we’ll feature.
