History of the Sesh – Victorian Era
August 26 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
£26.50
The Victorian Era officially started with the accesion of Queen Victoria to the throne on 20 June 1837 – a time period where many of the classic cocktails we know today were consumed and created on both sides of the Atlantic. We’ll first explore the drinking culture of the time while sampling a sample of an 1830s cocktail, before shaking up your own Victorian era drink while we discuss the locations, bartenders and trends that made mid-19th century Britain and America a hotspot for cocktail culture, and have you sample two more cocktails from the time period. We’ll finish with you making your final full sized drink as we see the lasting legacy of Victorian era drinks.
During the 1.5-2 hour session you’ll receive five drinks:
- 2 full sized cocktails
- 3 1/2 sized cocktail samples
As usual, we’ll include a variety of different spirits in our drinks – if there’s anything you’re really not a fan of, let us know in advance so we can make adjustments!
