Private History of the Sesh – 1st April – History of Gin Cocktails

Join us for a history lesson paired with a cocktail class! Choose your favourite time period and we’ll tailor drinks to that era, showcasing the cocktails that defined the culture and zeitgeist.

We’ll start with a cocktail sample before you get involved by shaking a full sized drink while we set the scene for the time period – perhaps what caused it to happen, like with Prohibition, or what era preceded it. We’ll then sample two other cocktails while we run through your chosen time, discussing the drinks that were made at the time and the music and culture of that era. We’ll then finish by shaking up your final cocktail as we talk about the lasting legacy of the time and how it affected modern drinking culture.

During the 1.5-2 hour session you’ll receive five drinks:

• 2 full sized cocktails
• 3 1/2 sized cocktail samples

We’ll include a variety of different spirits in our drinks – if there’s anything you’re really not a fan of, let us know in advance so we can make adjustments!
