Spotlight on: Old Fashioned Cocktail Class

On our monthly cocktail masterclass series, Spotlight On, join us for a deep dive into the cocktail world! Each month we’ll explore a specific drink, technique, brand or ingredient, discussing the history, production, flavours or drinks related to that topic while sampling four tasty bevs.

For our first Spotlight On we’ll focus on the Old Fashioned – one of Felix’s favourite drinks and the inspiration for this concept. We’ll start with a classic Old Fashioned on arrival while we tell you about the history of the drink and its ingredients, before taking you on a modern journey of the Old Fashioned in three cocktails – expect different ingredients, base spirits, and new techniques to elevate the drink to different levels.

All the while we’ll tell tales of whisky (and whiskey!), cocktails, Prohibition, Mad Men and the Old Fashioned’s curious role in how drinks are perceived.
